Introduce Yourself

Hi all.  I'm the creator of motoatx.com.  I saw a need for Austin to have a centralized location for everything motorcycle.  So here it is.

I currently ride a Buell 1125R although I have access to many motorcycles of different types.  wink

Who could resist?

Thanks Wes for starting up this forum.  I'm Jennifer Baggarly, owner of Austin City Powersports.  Started riding in 1966 with a MonkeyWards Riverside 50.

I have over 35 years in the industry as a multi-line technician, service manager and Yamaha dealer. When I opened my doors in December of 2009, I actually had no idea just how successful and fast my business would grow.

BTW, we need another good technician, so if anyone's needing part-time with possible full time, and willing to learn and be trained by one of the best, let me know.

Wouldn't you know it

5 minutes after I posted, my former part-time tech came by and asked if he could work full-time.  Strange how the world works sometimes.

Just got my second

This forum is awesome.

Bought a 07 Honda Shadow VT750 Aero from Wes last April. Just got a 07 Honda 919 from him yesterday. This thing is awesome. This is literally the only place I go for bikes and gear.

Howdy!

Howdy!

My name is Charlie and I am a Valkaholic...

...not really...well...maybe, but mostly I like to ride and I love all motorcycles.

I feel fortunate to be able live here in Central Texas where we can enjoy some of the best riding anywhere.  Hildr the Valkyrie (the good looking one in the above picture) feels the same way and is always eager to explore the Texas Hill Country.  We also enjoy visiting other states and places just to say we did!

Canada...

Somewhere in Iowa...

Bellaire, Michigan...

Somewhere in Wisconsin...

Near Eureka Springs, Arkansas...

Oklahoma near Talihina...

Three Sisters near Leakey, Texas...

Good 'ol Luckenbach...

OK...I could bore you with more pics, but Hildr and I need to go ride!

Ride safe and have fun!

...left my blinker on across three states...

New kid on the block

Howdy

When it comes to vintage bikes I guess I'm some what of a purist. I like to do a occasional restoration project for a form of stress relief/ hobby. It's kinda nice to see these older rides returned back to there former self. No better or no worse than the day they came off the showroom floor.I've been riding just about all my life and will continue as long as I'm able. My off road days are gone now. Got to old, My mind says go for it but my body says slow down dumb ass.

Here are three of my rides.

Hello! I'm Sam, I live in south Austin and go to St. Ed's.

I got my first bike, a 1972 CL100, over the summer and have enjoyed riding as much as possible! I definitely favor vintage bikes but would love to ride with all kinds of riders and bikes and learn from some of you more experienced riders. I'd also like to get into off roading, perhaps get a little dirt bike someday! Who knows. ^_^

Hey everybody!

Sam_Meow, I love your bike!

Hi all and Wes, thanks for letting me know about this forum! I love that Austin is so 2-wheelcentric! I got involved with the Austin Motorcycle Co-op (http://www.southaustinmotorcycles.com/ -- great place if you want to learn to work on your own bike ) last year and just had my 1972 Honda SL 100 painted by Jason at 995 Paintworks (http://www.995paintworks.com/) so as soon as school is out and I have time to put it all back together, I will see you all at a vintage bike night!

Welcome Everyone to what's been missing in Austin Motorcycles!

This is great! A place where honest people can collect and find out about what's going on in the art of motorcycling in Austin.

I'm Skip a crazy old fart of 60 years.  Been a motorcycle mechanic as both a profession and a hobby since I was 14 years old.

Currently I share a shop in north Pflugerville with fine friend, adopted son and little brother Ricky.  We combine both wisdom and high

energy to give you some of the top restoration and custom motorcycle rebuilds and repairs in Central Texas.  Come by and visit sometime.
